Homemade Neem Hand Sanitizer

Items needed: Rubbing alcohol, aloe vera gel, ex "Banana boat",or "fruit of the earth", Neem powder, Fragrance oil(optional), glass bottle with dropper, plastic bottle with flip top.

A)First soak 1Tsp of neem powder in about 2-3 ozs of rubbing alcohol. Stir the powdered herb occasionally so that it is well saturated in the alcohol. Since rubbing alcohol is a stronger solvent than witch hazel, the extraction will have a distinctly green color. This indicates that the neem anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties have been extracted. Dont worry about staining. You will only have to use a few drops. Strain through a stocking material to get rid of the particles.Put your herbal extraction in a glass bottle, preferably one with a dropper. Click on link below for an example:

B)Next fill a 2 oz plastic bottle(flip top) with the aloe vera gel. Leave enough room to squeeze at least 1 dropper full of the neem extraction. Hold bottle top down and shake vigorously, enabling the neem extract to completely blend with the aloe vera.
Example of a 2 oz bottle with a flip top; click on link below.

You may keep the excess neem extract in the glass bottle in your medicine cabinet. Place a sticker on the bottle and label it as a precaution. Because of the alcohol, this herbal extract will last indefinitely.

*Neem Herbal Remedy Tip*

For a therapeutic foot spray. Soak 1-2 Tbsp neem powder in 16 ozs of witch hazel. Let the herbal powder soak in the witch hazel for at least a couple of days. Strain the liquid through cheesecloth or a clean stocking foot. Do this at least twice. Pour in a spray bottle. This herbal extract makes a very therapeutic soothing anti-fungal foot spray.

Multani Mitti (clay)

Multani Mitti is a colloidal mineral -rich clay, usually found in the northwestern region of india.

*Has gentle cleansing properties for both hair and skin.

*Usually used as a mineral rich face mask able to absorb impurities, and remove dead skin cells.

*It can help improve circulation.*Can be drying especially to extremely dry skin, better suited for normal and oily skin.
As a face mask Instructions on the box suggest: For oily skin, add water to a little bit of the powdered multani to make a paste. For dry skin use milk instead of water. My personal tip. I mix a little powdered multani to aloe vera gel, then apply it to my extremely dry skin. After a few short minutes rinse with cool water then pat dry.
*Caution: Avoid contact with eyes. Should contact occur rinse immediatley with water.Although ingredients are natural, remember it is still possible to be allergic to anything applied to your skin.. Do not use on sensitive skin.
