Most people know aloe vera as a moisturizing or conditioning ingredient in cosmetic or toiletries. But just like aritha (soapwort), Aloe vera has saponin.
The soapy substance that cleanses and also has antiseptic properties.
Freeze-dried aloe vera powder is more economical and not as susceptible to spoilage.
Organic Aloe gel is freeze dried resulting in a fine white powder. Freeze drying preserves the essential properties. ONLY the water is removed. This fine powder dissolves easily in water. You may add a small amount of this concentrated powder to your conditioner or shampoo.
