Another Plant species with saponins.

Ex: Quinona Seeds

Popular in countries like south america.
These cooked seeds can be an alternative to rice.
Before cooking Quinoa seeds, it is necessary to rinse(or soak ) thoroughly to remove the bitter powdery saponin resin. Aritha has a fair amount of saponins. The Quinona seeds also have a fair amount of saponins.
The soapy liquid produced from rinsing the seeds, has the same cleansing abilities as the Aritha ayurvedic herb.

*Consumption of quinona seeds without proper rinsing can be toxic.*
